The Child, Youth, & School Services Sports and Fitness Programs are for children ages 5 through 18. Child participating in the program must either be a family member of active duty military personnel, retired military personnel, or a DOD civilian in Hawaii. Programs offered are continuously changing and improving to meet the needs of today’s youth. Our communities, youth, and parents have an active voice in planning developing and implementing innovative age appropriate programs.

Youth Sports is Looking for Volunteer Coaches for Flag Football & Cheerleading: Youth Sports is looking for volunteer coaches for our Flag Football and Cheerleading Season. The season will run from Sep. 29 to Dec. 19. Practices are two nights a week, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Or 6:00-7:00 p.m. If interested please contact AMR Youth Sports on 836-1923 or Schofield Barracks on 655-6465.
Youth Sports is looking for Officials, Referees, and Umps: Youth Sports is looking for anybody in our military community who is interested in officiating in our youth sports programs. We are currently looking for officials for our Flag Football and Basketball season. For further information please call AMR Youth Sports on 836-1923 or Schofield Barracks on 655-6465.
Youth Sports Flag Football Registration- For the youth born 1999-2010. Registration is 1-31 July. The season runs from 29 Sep. -19 Dec. Please ensure when the parents register they have complete CYS registration paperwork, Youth Sports registration paperwork, up to date shot record, physical to last through the season, and birth certificate. Youth Sports Cheerleading Registration-For the youth born 1999-2010. Registration is 1-31 July. The season runs from 29 Sept. -19 Dec. The cost is $55 if you do not have a cheer uniform from previous seasons. Or the cost is $20 if you do have a cheer uniform from the previous seasons.
Youth Sports Soccer-Youth Soccer season is underway. Practices began on 7 July. Practices are held Tuesday-Friday from the hours of 5-6 p.m. or 6-7p .m. Practices for AMR/Ft. Shafter are held on AMR soccer fields. For SB/HMR/Wheeler practices are held on Watts’s field. For any questions in regards to the season please contact AMR/Ft. Youth Sports Soccer Opening Day- Youth Sports is hosting their annual soccer opening day on 25 July at 9:00 a.m. on Watts Field located off of A-Road on Schofield Barracks. We will have a guest speaker. Once opening day concludes our soccer games will start.
Youth Sports Summer Fun Weeks-AMR Youth Sports will be visiting AMR and Ft. Shafter School Age Centers during the month of July. AMR Youth Sports has planned 2 weeks of Summer Fun Camps for each facility. Going from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 14-17 July AMR Youth Sports partner with Ft. Shafter SAC in events such as: Hiking, Hickam Beach, and bowling.21-24 July AMR Youth Sports and AMR SAC will partner in similar events. For youth to participate in this summer fun camp, they must already be enrolled in AMR or Ft. Shafter’s SAC summer break programs. Youth Sports and AMR SAC BikeEd-Youth Sports is partnering up with AMR SAC on July 14-July 15 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00p.m. for Summer BikeEd program. The summer BikeEd program is coming to AMR SAC to help teach youth how to ride a bike. AMR SAC blue, red, and yellow classrooms will be partaking in this event. Youth will have to provide a helmet. If they have a bike of their own in good working condition they can bring it to the center on these two days. If your youth does not have a bike, it is okay. BikeEd program will be supplying bikes as well. This event is free. BikeEd organization is only asking for bike donations. If you have a bike(s) that you are not using and were thinking about curbing them. Bring them to AMR SAC on July 14-July 15 from 9:00 a.m-12:00 p.m. for donation.
