The Child, Youth, & School Services Sports and Fitness Programs are for children ages 5 through 18. Child participating in the program must either be a family member of active duty military personnel, retired military personnel, or a DOD civilian in Hawaii. Programs offered are continuously changing and improving to meet the needs of today’s youth. Our communities, youth, and parents have an active voice in planning developing and implementing innovative age appropriate programs.

Youth Sports and Fitness is Looking for Volunteer Coaches for Basketball & Cheerleading: Youth Sports is looking for volunteer coaches for our Basketball and Cheerleading Season. The season will run from Jan 6-Mar 21. Practices are two nights a week, from 5-6p.m. Or 6-7p.m. If interested please contact AMR/Ft. Shafter/Camp Smith on 836-1923 or SB/WAF/HMR on 655-6465.
Youth Sports and Fitness is looking for Officials, Referees, and Umps: Youth Sports is looking for anybody in our military community who is interested in officiating in our youth sports programs. We are currently looking for officials for Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball and Soccer seasons. Youth Sports and Fitness AMR Home School Sessions - AMR Youth Sports has a Home School program. Home School will be every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12p.m. Children and youth aged 4-16 are invited to come. Youth Sports will provide fitness activities such as basketball, croquet, flag football, etc. Health and Fitness activities such as 4-H Health Rocks, Hiking Trails, and bullying. This program is Free to our AMR/Ft. Shafter/ Camp Smith Home School Community. Home School participants must register with the AMR registration office. AMR Home School will break from Nov. 23-Jan. 1. Youth Sports and Fitness Schofield Barracks Home School Sessions - Schofield Barracks has a Home School program. Home School will be every Tuesday 11:30 a.m.-12:30p.m. Children and youth aged 5-16 are invited to come. Youth Sports will provide fitness activities such as basketball, croquet, flag football, etc. This program is Free to our SB/HMR/WAF Home School Community. Youth Sports and Fitness Mini Baseball Season - For youth born 2011-2013. Registration is Dec. 1-Jan 6, 2016. The season runs from Jan 21-Mar 10. The cost is $20. Parents and youth will receive a t-shirt. All youth will receive a bat and ball. Please ensure when the parents register they have complete CYS registration paperwork, Youth Sports registration paperwork, up to date shot record, physical that last through the season and birth certificate. If parent’s registering do not have up to date and completed paperwork with registration they will not be able to sign their youth up until all requirements have been met. Youth Sports and Fitness Basketball and Cheerleading Season - Youth Sports basketball and cheerleading season will start January 5. The season will run from Jan. 5-Mar 19. Teams will practice Tuesday-Friday two nights a week, for an hour each session. Practice locations for Schofield Barracks will be: Bennett Youth Center. Practices for AMR/Ft. Shafter will be held at AMR big gym, AMR small gym, and Tripler. The basketball and cheerleading games will start Jan. 30 and go until Mar. 19.
