- 8:30pm: FIREWORKS (from the Commissary parking lot. The commissary and Flagview Mall stores are closed on the 4th of July.)






Mr. Ralph Yasuoka, Chief, Information Technology Branch is receiving the DFMWR Supervisor of the Quarter Award. Mr. Yasuoka leads an outstanding team of consistent performers who have 100% satisfactory rating on their customer service performance. Mr. Yasuoka manages the IT department with dedication and commitment that he has for this organization. Ralph is often the first to arrive and the last to leave in his department, he works over the weekend to check on the systems and ensure that everything is running appropriately and smoothly. He puts in countless hours to ensure that DFMWR is able to provide service to our guests because he understands the reason why we are all here in the first place.
Michael Tanigawa, ACS Information and Referral Relocation Program Manager is receiving the DFMWR Team Member of the Quarter Award in recognition of his accomplishments and performance over the quarter and the past year. Michael has distinguished himself by assuming all administrative duties for all ACS at Fort Shafter as well as supporting and being the POC/Back-up for all Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) needs. Michael has provided consistent outstanding performance this year as he almost singlehandedly managed the operation of ACS South due to lack of staffing. Michael exemplifies service excellence in all that he does and is an asset to the entire DFMWR Team.
