Middle School/Teen (MST) is a comprehensive, supervised Army program targeting youth in grades 7-12 who are generally between the ages of 12-18. The program operates supervised fun, safe, recreational and learning opportunities that assist with the development of eligible youth outside the school hours. The program offers a wide range of positive options that promote healthy youth development and ease youth transition to adulthood.

The Youth Sponsorship program helps relocate teens to become familiar with their new home here in Hawaii and assists them when moving to a new post. Each quarter a Hail & Farewell event is held to say Aloha to new and departing youth. The MST program is always looking for new volunteer teen sponsors.
Teen and youth centers offer a variety of social and leisure time recreation activities. Check the monthly calendar at each center for details regarding dances, lock-ins, trips, holiday events, craft projects, tournaments, sports activities, camps and much more. A variety of table, board and video games are available at each center. A daily USDA approved snack is served free of charge each weekday. The MST program has a strong program partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, National 4-H and Character Counts.
The MST program provides regular opportunities for youth to contribute to the well being of their community and teen center through a variety of volunteer community service and leadership activities. These include Keystone and Torch Clubs, Pacific Teen Panel, Youth Leadership Forum, Youth of the Year, Operation Military Kids, and the Read To Me service learning initiative. Annual community service projects include Whale Watch, 4th of July Celebration, Family Fun Fests, Make a Difference Day, and Lights on After School.
