Oahu is the commercial hub of the Hawaiian Islands and is where most first time visitors go on first their vacation to Hawaii. Oahu is a beautiful island with many things to see and do. LTS has created a list of the Top attractions and activities you can do with your family this summer.

  1. Diamond Head Hike (parking is $5)
  2. Experience a traditional Hawaiian Luau (ask your local LTS for options and  military prices)
  3. Snorkel at Hanauma Bay (parking is $1, free entry with military ID)
  4. Check out the Halona Blowhole
  5. Hike Manoa Falls ($5 parking)
  6. Go body surfing at Sandy Beach
  7. Pack a picnic and Hike to Makapu’u Lighthouse
  8. Get blown away at Nu’uanu Pali Lookout
  9. Feed the Koi Fish at Byodo-In Temples (show your military ID at gift shop to receive 1 free bag of fish food, entry is $3)
  10. Hop on an ATV at Kualoa Ranch (1hr $59, 2hr $89 must be 16 or older, talk to one of our LTS clerks)
  11. Swim in the clear waters at Lanikai Beach
  12. Snorkel at Sharks Cove on North Shore and eat lunch at Ted’s Bakery .5 miles down the road
  13. Eat soft served pineapple ice cream at Dole Plantation
  14. Visit the Teddy Bear Museum in Waikiki ($8 with military ID)
  15. Bay view Golf Putt Putt course with 18 holes and  Zipline ($40, must be 6 + to zip)
  16. Visit Queen Emma’s Summer Palace ($6 with military ID)
  17. Discover local traditions at the Polynesian Cultural Center
  18. Enjoy natures creations at Fosters Botanical Gardens ($3 with military ID)
  19. Take a picture with Duke at the Duke Kahanamoku Statue
  20. See Waikiki from the sky with one of our Parasailing options (prices start at $42 at LTS)
  21. Enjoy a Shave Ice treat at Masumoto’s on the North Shore
  22. Grab a picnic lunch and head out to watch Hawaii Polo at Dillingham Airfield ($8 with military ID)
  23. See the mermaid swim at Pacific Beach Hotel Oceanarium (dinner times 5pm and 9pm)
  24. Discover our past at Pearl Harbor Arizona Memorial (gates open at 8 to get free tickets)
  25. Observe natures creatures  at the Honolulu Zoo ($8 with military ID)
  26. Taste macadamia nuts and Kona coffee at Tropical Farms (free entry, $15 for tour)
  27. Smell the homemade soaps at Waialua coffee and sugar mill
  28. Eat red velvet pancakes at Cinnamon’s restaurant in Kailua
  29. Devour a specialty Hanks Haute Dog in Honolulu featured on “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives”
