Register or Enroll – What’s the Difference
  • To enroll for any SKIES class the child or youth must either be a registered member of CYS or enrolled in SKIES.
  • As a CYS member your child/youth may enroll in any CYS service or program. Registration requires a birth certificate, current shot record, including TB clearance, current health assessment, social security numbers of sponsor & child/youth, and 3 on-island emergency contacts. There is an application to complete. Must be updated an annual basis.
  • Enroll in SKIES only, your child/youth may only participate in SKIES classes. To enroll you will need to bring proof of your child/youth’s birth date and 2 on-island emergency contracts. There is one short form to complete. Requires household update annually.
  • You may always enroll in SKIES and at a later date upgrade to full CYS membership by bringing in all required documents to one of our CYS Registration Offices.
  • Currently both CYS membership and SKIES enrollments are free of charge.
Class Enrollment & Payments
  • Families may enroll at any CYSS, Registration Office, Child Care or School Age Services facilities. All enrollments and payments must be not later than the last day of the month before the desired start month.
  • For performing arts, intermediate or advance classes enrollment will be done by the SKIES Office, family will automatically billed by the month. Family may remove their student by completing a withdrawal form and submit to SKIES by the 15th of month prior to month of removal.
  • All payments must be made by the 1st of each month. Student must show their receipt to their teacher the first day of class.
  • Classes which include supplies, must be paid by the 28th of the month prior to class starting. Our teachers need to have sufficient time to purchase supplies for all attending students prior to class beginning each month.
  • To enroll in any SKIES class all children and must be registered in CYS S or enrolled in SKIES. This can be accomplished at either the Schofield Bks or Aliamanu (AMR) CYSS, Registration Office
Classes Enrolled on a Monthly Basis or One Time Classes
  • Classes which students are able to learn at a steady pace and can easily add new students on a monthly basis due to the number of instructors or type of class are set up on a monthly enrollment basis. Parent/guardian enroll their child monthly and pay on a monthly basis.
  • Classes which are offered only one time for a duration of 1 hour to 1 week are also set up on a monthly enrollment. Parent/Guardian enrolls their child for the class and at the same time must pay their class fee. This includes classes with are listed as free.
  • All students must be registered with CYS or enrolled in SKIES.
